Not everything RiellyBoy does is commercially driven. Below are a few examples demonstrating RiellyBoy's experience, expertise, & slightly twisted sense of humor. Included are trailers of Independent movies, music videos, and from the vaults; broadcast news/feature stories, where Bill garnered his reputation as a creative shooter/producer working as a one-man-band for ABC & CBS affiliates.
Dogs In Quicksand
Feature length project, premiered at Yale's New Haven film festival, taking the second place jury award. Shot on BetaSP & tweaked for more of a "film-look".
Murder Too Many
From the same twisted mind as "Dogs in Quicksand" & "Bucky McSnead"; The 20 minute short "Murder.." presents a dozen character cast with every on-screen face played by the same actor (the writer/director).
Not Another
Music video for the contemporary Christian group "HeartSpeak". Produced to accompany their first nationally distributed album "Just Because".
Show Me Something
Hard-core rap artist Natris-G. Produced and released in conjunction with a midwest regional performance tour.
PARENTAL ADVISORY: while this video has been cleared for cable broadcast, it is a hard-core rap video, complete with scantily clad women & adult situations.
Heros & Friends
In conjunction with producing competition highlights of the International Tree Climbing Championship (yes...tree climbing...but that's another story), a music video set to an original recording is slapped together. Clips culled from three days of multi-camera shooting, two hours for shot selection/edit/post.
Christmas at the Mall
The ultimate in working under preasure is shooting/writing/editing with a program airtime looming. This is an example of a news room perennial, cover the Christmas season at the mall with a feature story. Two hours shooting, two hours scripting (after a trip to the library to get a copy of the original poem), three hours edit/post.
Lawn Rangers
This an example of a long-form feature story. As producer/reporter for a weekly program Bill shot/scripted/edited one to two features each week (to go along with general news reporting assignments). half day shooting, two hours scripting, half day edit/post.
Decatur's Saddest Night
As a news photographer/reporter, "spot news" refers to breaking, usually violent events. This piece was produced for a "Year in Review" segment and received an Illinois AP award.

Samples are posted as RealMedia, WMV, & QT. Use the links below to download free player software
RiellyBoy recomends Real Media for the best balance in Quality/File size, Windows Media for the quickest playing (ability to buffer while playing) & Quicktime for cleanest compression (using the mp4/H.264 codec) but the QT has slower loading, and displays in a seperate browser page (not individual player)
If there's a particular type of sample you'd like to see, RiellyBoy has an extensive library of projects to pull from, and can deliver in any popular compression scheme. Just send a request using the "contact" page.
